Peak & Northern

Founded in 1894 the Peak & Northern Footpaths Society, based near Manchester, is the longest surviving regional footpath society in the UK. With interest in them and their work in decline they realised that they needed to appeal to a new and technology-aware audience.

We were asked to completely overhaul the brand, including logo, website, publications (in progress) and social media, and at the same time reference their typeface and green colour, both of which have been in use in their logo for decades on hundreds of footpath signs in the region. The difference between old and new is huge and the organisation now appear much more relevant.

“I would like to thank you for the work you have done and to congratulate you on doing an excellent job. It has been a pleasure to work with you and I am delighted with the outcome. Your design ideas, imagination and your ability to translate our sometimes vague thoughts into actual results have been of the highest quality.”
